In Sitely 6.1 we are adding support for the Liquid Glass design language that Apple introduced in macOS 26 Tahoe. The look of Liquid Glass has been controversial, receiving more pushback than usual for an Apple release, and it’s perfectly understandable that someone might not like it. We figure who doesn’t like Liquid Glass will have opted to not update their Mac to it, which frees us to go all in, in Sitely.
We’re no strangers to juggling different OS versions, Sitely still supports macOS all the way back to 10.14, and with the introduction of the Liquid Glass user interface in 6.1, we now juggle 3 different user interface languages: the pre-Big Sur “metal aqua” style, the Big Sur style, and the macOS 26 Liquid Glass style.
Or in other words, if you are still using a macOS version before 26, nothing has changed in Sitely, and you can keep using it with the interface you are familiar with.
